Poland - Warsaw

We passed a jewellery store specializing in amber necklaces and rings which Poland is well known for (top left). Amber is a fossilised resin that can be shaped into unique pieces of jewellery. Out front of the store is a statue of a woman and child from medieval times back when amber was more precious than gold as it was believed to provide physical and spiritual benefits to its wearer.
